Color My World

The quilt I had in the Houston Quilt Festival finally arrived home this week.  Thought I would take some pics to show it off before it goes out to the next show.  It was inspired by an antique Trip Around the World quilt from the 1930s I had seen on Ebay and I loved it so much, I had to make one for myself.  It took over 330 hours over three months to create from start to finish.  There are 5,657 one-inch squares.  No pattern available at this time.

  1. This really is a fabulous quilt Rahna! Wish I had found it in Houston to see up close. I've always wanted to make a similar Trip Around The World

    1. Thank you Nedra! You should definitely make a Trip quilt, it's actually a lot of fun, just a bit tedious, but well worth it.

  5. I love this quilt. I have been quilting only a short time. But I have been cutting a lot of my scraps into one inch squares to do something with. I love the pattern of your quilt. I was just going to sew mine as the squares came out but I might rethink that. Again it is just beautiful.
